Iran, a beautiful four-season country with great opportunities
Nature has given so much to Iran and its people; it is a four-season country with rare climate diversity and soil. Iran has engaged in agriculture for centuries, and there have been glorious eras, such as the Safavid era, when the country’s economy surged. However, according to history, after the Industrial Revolution in Europe and then great technological and industrial advances in North America and European countries, Iran’s rulers of the time, amazed by these advances and wishing them for Iran without considering the country’s and the people’s big differences, tried to import whatever new they encountered during their travels to those countries. These reckless imports not only did not help the country to grow but also derailed it onto a path of semi-industrialisation without an indigenous background, knowledge and motivation.
Instead of importing consuming technologies and machinery in the fields that Iran had no knowledge or background in, they should have tried making the Iranian traditional agriculture sector into a modern and industrialized sector by importing agricultural technology and machinery.
According to a study under the title of “Choosing development path according to Priority Power: Determination of key sector for Iran Economy” (International Journal of Business and Development Studies, Vol. 3, No.1, 2011), the agriculture sector has an obvious priority over the NA-Manufacturing sector (Non-Agricultural Manufacturing) and therefore should be considered as the key sector in allocating limited resources of the economy. Can we fix previous mistakes?
So many decades have passed and so many resources have been wasted. But “it is never too late to mend”. So, if you are interested in investing in Iran’s agricultural section we would be more than happy to help with our market research service. We are available 24/7 and you can send us your request whenever you want.
The following section shows Iran’s provinces, their climate, and the most suitable agricultural products to produce there. Numbers in the brackets represent the rank of the province in producing that product in the country. For each product, the top 10 provinces have been chosen.
To get more information about the province of your choice, simply click on the Read more link at the bottom of the section. Statistical yearbooks of the “Statistical Centre of Iran” and the “Ministry of Agricultural Affairs” are the source of data summarised for each province. Pictures of the nature for the provinces also selected mostly from the following websites: karnaval.ir, pateh.com, eghamat24.com, kite.ir, alibaba.ir, jainjas.com, 3click.com, eligasht.com, vilajar.com, arandtour.com, thebrands.ir.
