Can AI do Research?
Well, it depends on what you consider as research. If you think searching the internet for finding the texts and data about a given subject is research, AI can do it better than humans.
But that is not research! It’s just finding information. This is part of the data gathering process, of course. But it is definitely NOT research. Research, like what THE does, is the process of thoroughly studying a given subject to uncover hidden information, extract useful and practical insights, find solutions to problems, and suggest strategies for the future. And it is only the thing that a human brain can do NOT AI that is unable to think by itself. In other words, since AI is created by human and based on previous information, it is obvious that it can not be creative and make something new. All is based on previously given patterns and data. It is not magic. So, AI can NEVER create original outputs.
Can AI do Analysis?
Like doing research, since analysis is also a thinking-related job, AI can NEVER do it properly. What we see as AI-created analysis is some simple and not original analysis based on some regular patterns that AI has been trained with.
But analysis is not just fitting regression lines in data and discussing the slope or intercepts. To do deep and meaningful analysis, you need to think thoroughly about all the variables and their previous trends, situations affecting them, and changes in those situations, as well as many other aspects that need to be considered for doing a proper analysis.
Therefore, AI never can do what human does in research, analysis, treatment, judging, writing (creative writing as writers do), and any job that is dependent on creative thinking, analyzing, problem solving, and decision making. So, if you have such a career, be sure AI can never take your job!

So what should AI used for? A suggestion
Some use AI to do their homework, and some use it at work to do their work tasks and projects. But whatever AI is used for, it should definitely NOT be used to think instead of us. However, it is unfortunate to see that many people at different levels are using AI tools to do so.
AI can best help humans by doing simple and repetitive jobs, those that are harmful to health, and those that can be a disgrace to human beings. If we use AI-made robots for these kinds of tasks, we will not only make life easier, but also improve the world to be a better place for living. Let’s think about how AI can improve our life not how can we improve AI so that take our life.
